We have compiled this Data Protection Statement to inform you about the collection of personal data when using our application portal. Personal data means all data that can be used to identify you, such as your name, address, email addresses and your use of our website. We have put comprehensive technical and operational safeguards in place to protect your data against coincidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. Our security procedures are regularly reviewed and upgraded to reflect the latest technological developments.

3. Your rights

You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:


3.1 General rights

You have a right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of data processing, to object against the data processing and to data portability. To the extent a data processing is based on your declaration of consent, you have the right to revoke such consent with effect for the future.


3.2 Rights concerning data processing conducted on the basis of a legitimate interest

Article 21 para. 1 GDPR gives you the right to object against the processing of your personal data on the basis of Article 6 para. 1e GDPR (data processing in the public interest) or Article 6 para. 1f GDPR (data processing to safeguard a legitimate interest) for reasons resulting from your personal circumstances at any time, including against a profiling based on the same provision. We will cease to process your personal data if you object against it, unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate reasons for the data processing that prevail over your interests, rights and freedoms, or if the data processing serves the purpose of asserting, exercising or defending legal interests.


3.3 Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint about the processing of your personal data by us with the relevant data protection supervisory authority.


4. Data transfer

By registering with Yamaha Music Europe GmbH, your data will be stored and processed on the systems of our software partner Haufe-umantis AG. As far as our service providers come into contact with your personal data, we ensure within the scope of the order processing according to Art. 28 GDPR that these comply with the regulations of the data protection laws in the same way. Please also note the respective data protection information of the provider.


5. Use of your personal data

During the application process, the usual correspondence data such as postal address, e-mail address and telephone numbers are stored in the applicant database in addition to the title, surname and first name. In addition, application documents such as letters of motivation, CVs, professional, training or any further training qualifications and job references are recorded.
This data will only be stored, evaluated, processed or forwarded internally as part of your application. They are only accessible to employees of the human ressource department and the persons responsible for the selection at Yamaha Music Europe GmbH. Your data will under no circumstances be passed on to companies or persons outside Yamaha Music Europe GmbH or used for other purposes.
The data can be processed for statistical purposes (e.g. reporting). It is not possible to draw any conclusions about individual persons.


If you have applied for a specific position and it has already been filled or if we consider you suitable or even better for another position, we would be happy to forward your application within the company. Please let us know if you do not agree to a forwarding.


Your personal data will be deleted immediately after completion of the application process or after a maximum of 6 months, unless you have expressly given us your consent for a longer storage of your data or a contract has been concluded. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 a, b and f GDPR.
